I've been reading a lot lately. I got a few recommendations from my boss and am currently reading Flowers for Algernon. It breaks my heart to read about how people treat those perceived to be "less human." Last night i read a section in which the main character, Charlie, said that no one would consider making fun of a person with a physical deformity yet it seems people have no problem poking fun at someone who doesn't understand that he is being made fun of. What does that say of our society?

I have grown a lot in the past couple of weeks. I have reconciled with some people who have hurt me and have come out on top. I still cry a lot but mostly for things that move me instead of things that break me. I am putting my heart back together, slowly, piece by piece.
